Inspectors reviewing a building facade

About

You should not have to become the pest person on your street.

Framework is the guide. Licensed and insured in Alberta. We inspect, treat what is actually there, and help you close the gap. The house is yours again.

Introduction

Precision, not folklore.

Framework Pest Ltd. is a Calgary, Alberta structural pest-control firm. Fully licensed and insured in Alberta. The practice treats pest pressure as a building-envelope failure: we diagnose how mice, wasps, ants, and stored-product pests enter assemblies, then engineer exclusion — mesh, hardware, and sealant systems specified for prairie freeze-thaw — instead of selling a spray calendar. Service area: Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, High River, and Alberta portfolios.

The practice is led by a PMP® professional with a Master’s in Architecture and more than ten years administering contracts, walking sites, and closing out institutional, commercial, and residential construction in Canada and internationally. Pest pathways are read the same way as a deficiency list: photographed, ranked, and closed.

We are based in Calgary because this climate writes the lesson every spring. Freeze-thaw opens joints. Chinooks punish hardware. Mice move before the snow. A spray calendar is a poor answer to that brief.

Mission

To systematically eliminate pest vulnerabilities through architectural methodologies and structural exclusion, permanently replacing reactive chemical applications with data-driven property protection.

Vision

To be the recognized global benchmark for structural pest control, leading the industry transition from traditional extermination to advanced building pathology.

Values

Structural Integrity

Pests are a building-envelope failure before they are a sanitation event. We treat the assembly, not the symptom.

Precision

Diagnosis first. Intervention only where the data, the detail, and the pathway demand it.

Innovation

Monitoring, exclusion hardware, and building pathology replace calendar spraying as the default.

Trust

Clear findings. Documented pathways. No theatre, no fog machines, no mystery chemicals.

Stewardship

Seasonal and quarterly programs. Written. Leave-able. The file stays yours.

Who we work with

Operators who are responsible for more than a weekend.

Owners & asset managers

A file the board can read. One spec across addresses.

Property managers

Notice language, occupied-building methods, and a single point of contact.

Facilities & ops

Hardware they can maintain, not theatre they have to babysit.

Architects & envelope consultants

Design review before occupancy turns a cavity into habitat.

Homeowners

The same method at house scale — garage, deck, grade, and every pipe sleeve.

Food, health, civic

Documentation written for an auditor, not a spray ticket.

How an engagement starts

Same sequence, every asset.

  1. 01

    Scope in writing

You send the building. We reply with a proposed window, who will attend, and whether we are walking a house, a tower, or a dock face. No mystery dispatch.

  2. 02

    Walk the envelope

Perimeter to roof, grade to mechanical. Thermal and moisture on suspect assemblies. Every penetration that can take a mouse gets a photo.

  3. 03

    Rank the pathways

Findings come back as a file: photos, priority (safety / occupancy / capital / watch), and a close-out you can hand to operations or a contractor.

  4. 04

    Close, then prove it

Exclusion and any required intervention are scoped from that file. Monitoring is how we know the joint stayed closed after the first Chinook.

Background includes contract administration and project controls on medium-to-large Calgary builds: drawing and spec review, RFIs, change orders, site inspections, deficiency lists, Certificates of Payment, and warranty closeout. That is the same discipline we apply when a dock does not meet the slab.
