Monitoring Programs
A living picture of pressure on the asset — inspection cadence, sensors, and reporting property managers can act on.
The discipline
Stewardship needs a record. Monitoring programs replace the vague ‘we sprayed’ with trend lines: activity by zone, seasonal pressure, and whether last quarter’s exclusion is still holding.
Monitoring without exclusion is a very expensive diary. We will not sell you a sensor program on a building whose dock still does not meet the slab. The program starts after the map exists, or it starts as the map.
What’s included
- Site-specific inspection architecture
- Interior and exterior monitoring points
- Seasonal pressure mapping for Calgary’s pest calendar
- Portfolio-ready reporting for owners and boards
- Thresholds that trigger intervention — not calendars that trigger spray
How the work runs
Four movements, applied to this discipline.
01
Architecture
Where to look, how often, and what threshold actually means intervention.
02
Install points
Interior and exterior monitors placed on the envelope map, not on a vendor’s favourite corner.
03
Cadence
Mouse pressure in September is not ant pressure in June. The calendar is local.
04
Report
Zone activity, whether last quarter’s exclusion is holding, and a sentence a board can read.
You leave with
A file, not a fog of product names.
- Site-specific inspection map
- Seasonal calendar for this climate
- Visit records with photos
- Portfolio roll-up if you have more than one asset
- Thresholds that trigger work — not spray

Questions
About this discipline
Is this IPM?
Monitoring is the inspect-and-threshold half of IPM. Structural exclusion is our position on what to do when the threshold is crossed.
Can reports go to a REIT template?
Yes. We will match the evidence pack you already owe a board or a brand auditor.
Scope monitoring programs.
Send the building. We’ll tell you whether this discipline is the start, the middle, or the whole job.
